Uyare - refreshingly pogressive

Getting attacked in an horrific way by the person who claimed to love you the most
in the world and losing your dreams..
This is the reality the movie deals with. Though it is such an unfortunate one, the
story doesn’t go drowning in sadness and pity..instead the protagonist is shown
 rising high suiting the title.

Things I feel this movie has a refreshing take-on :

=> How they didn’t convert the track with Tovino thomas into a romantic one.
No person after an acid attack in their previous relationship would want to start
another in a short period of time irrespective of how good the other person is.

=> The above point also shows a woman doesn’t need validation or a sense of
security through a relationship. Her talents and virtues are enough.
She loved a toxic one but  when someone good came along,
she wasn’t in the state to offer love. The movie respected her choice and let the
character breathe instead of shoving another relationship in the second half

=> In one of her flights Pallavi loses her control when triggered by her ex.
That put her job at stake. This can be taken as a lesson for emotional intelligence..
how much loss you can avoid if you get your emotions in control.
But again it is Pallavi’s conscious choice to react that way
and the movie makes us respect that

=> Generally women are called their own worst enemies and their friendships are
compared to cat fights but this movie centers a beautiful bond between two females.
We do need more representations of this

=> Most importantly I really liked how Pallavi’s heroic act of saving the flight in the climax
doesn’t have any appreciation immediately. That moment is left to her.
She lived her dream at least for once. That satisfaction is filled in those moments
instead of people crowding around her and cheering for her.
One of the best moments in the film. And they also don’t use this heroic act as an
excuse to save her job. She does face consequences for her decisions.

Though the movie isn’t entirely flawless and has some filmy moments
it does good for the most part.
